Broker's Comments

This French barge has a long history stretching back to 1938. More recently, it has been used as a restaurant venue cruising the french canal system. It was purchased by the current vendor in France and brought to the UK where the barge underwent a large refit before being moored and opened as a fine dinning restaurant, cafe and bar with two large and well appointed en-suite cabins to let through Airbnb.

This barge offers a fantastic ongoing business opportunity or, for those with a vision, can be used or refitted as required. The mooring lease is for six years with four years remaining.

Currently this barge is not under classification or flag state registration, although a possibility if required.
It is also understood that this barge can be relocated elsewhere in the UK subject to towing restrictions.
