Broker's Comments

Life on the riverside AND seaside!

Her current owner, passionate about her home and its location says this: "Part of the joy of being moored here is the extraordinary surrounding area. Flanked by the South Downs, river life, heaps of bird life, industry, quays, Marina life at Newhaven with fab restaurants, sitting outside with wine looking at the boats, great food and amazing walks along the tow path passing farms and fields is truly priceless to have on your door step. Brighton is 15 minutes drive away as is Lewes. It’s a truly perfect spot."

Offers invited!

Boatshed Brighton are pleased to present this 36ft Narrowboat. Although there is no proof of age, she is believed to have been built in the 80s or earlier and has much character and charm.

Her current owner has turned her into a cosy home and this is very much felt from the moment you step on board. Her open plan layout has been cleverly utilised and the wood burner provides plenty of heat in the cooler months.

This narrow boat has the benefit of being on a residential mooring - extremely hard to find in the South East and is next to a nature reserve which runs along the river. The train station is only 10 mins' walk away with links to Brighton and Eastbourne. The cost of the berth is currently £250 plus VAT pcm, negotiable with the landowner upon purchase.

With house prices and renting in the area becoming so expensive, this could be a great alternative for a single person or couple looking to live a quirky, simple, life afloat.

Viewing highly recommended.

No proof of VAT paid.
