About Ben James
What did you do before working for Boatshed?
I've worked the last 10 years in the technology & media industry for several firms.
I have been working for PBS Creative for over 4 years now - were we services Boatshed with regards to its Technology needs.
Prior to working for PBS Creative, I worked for Shropshire Tourism for 3 years as a senior developer working on internal systems and also providing websites and technical solutions for tourism related businesses in the Shropshire area.
What do you enjoy most about working with Boatshed?
Boatshed likes to be on the cutting edge, they don't shy away from trying new technology and potentially capitalising on early adoption of such things.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Unfortunately I am neither - my sailing knowledge goes as far as what I've learnt through working on Boatshed and from films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Water World.
What was your first boating experience?
I recall as a child (many years ago) we went on a rowboat at the Ellesmere mere. No one had a clue how to row and resulted in us not getting out very far and spending most of the time going round in circles - we eventually (somehow) managed to get back to the jetty and on dry land.
