Broker's Comments

The 840 was the last of the Achilles range, built from 1979 to 1984 and were designed to be solid ocean going boats with successful OSTAR, AZAB and Fastnet race results in the early 80's.

Beamier and with more headroom than similar designs of that era they now lend themselves well for single or short handed cruising but have enough space for a family to enjoy with a well laid out galley, separate heads and plenty of usable storage throughout

This particular boat has had a partial refit by her very knowledgeable current owner who was planning to cruise her offshore. His plans have changed however she has benefitted from an engine rebuild, her hull taken back and primed and antifouled, new saloon upholstery, new batteries and is clean and tidy and ready to relaunch.
