Broker's Comments
When I walked along the pontoon to have a first look as this yacht I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The owner had already told me that she has had a fair amount of work carried out – full osmosis treatment as a prevention rather than a cure, engine overhaul then professional regular servicing, hull polished every year...but... he also told me that she has cream and maroon topsides and tan sails...
Well, my heart lifted when I clapped eyes on her, she looked a perfect picture! Her hull gleams, her teak is clean and golden coloured, and she has lovely classic lines. Quite simply she is a lovely looking boat!
The impression carries on down below, OK, she is a classic-design long-keeler, so the beam is not as wide as more modern designs, but she has been finished beautifully and she has that “little ship” feel, with a good safe galley, a small but well laid out chart table, good engine access and loads of seamanlike features such as lee cloths under the saloon berths.
I’d better not bang on too long – check out the photos and the videos. Spielberg I ain’t, but I think you’ll get the idea.
If you like to come and see her, just ring me here at Boatshed Port Solent on 07885521960 and we’ll set something up.
