Broker's Comments

If you want to get to your next stop fast and in comfort then this is the boat for you! One of Fountain Pajot's most successful designs, she is large enough to take on oceans but small enough to get down the Canal du Midi.

Her pretty and modern lines are matched by her performance and 9+kt passage speeds are regularly enjoyed without fuss or bother with plenty in the tank if you are feeling adventurous. This particular Maldives has the benefit of a bowsprit and code zero, making down wind and off wind legs a lot of fun!

As you would expect with a cat, you get bags of room inside and with the innovative 'pop top' the low profile saloon becomes a great airy space. Two good size doubles down aft and two singles forward can be added to by dropping the saloon table for another double. In the Port hull there is also a large chart table and in the starboard a good size heads and shower.

The current owner has cruised widely around the English channel and has made some sensible upgrades including re-wiring, new batteries, upholstery, engine, rudder bearings, instruments, fridge, stove and general titivating. The current owner is a maritime professional and ex-surveyor and sailed his last Cat to Australis with his wife. He believes in spending his time enjoying rather than fixing boats so things have been kept relatively simple, with quality, straightforward key systems and only one through-hull fitting below the waterline!. The engine is a barely run-in Yamaha 9.9 High Thrust which can be steered with the rudders to make marina berthing a less exciting experience and which can be lifted fully clear of the water.

All in all this is a great package for for a multihull convert or someone who is thinking that one hull is just not good enough!
