Broker's Comments

The Trapper 501 is a workmanlike but pretty design, typical of her North American origins with an easily driven hull. Once the sails are set she's quick, well balanced and responsive - she's magic to sail with the wind vane steering - the harder it blows the better! Her rudder is located far aft, making easy work of handling under power.

The bildge keels and accommodation make this boat ideal for a couple or small family.

She's fitted out specifically for single or short handed sailing wilth all lines being led back to the cockpit, self tailing winches, slab reefing, furling headsail and Wind Pilot Light Pacific Wind Vane.

All in all - She is a fresh clean yacht that needs for nothing to start cruising; overall condition is exceptional for the year. Moulded by Trappers in 1984, she was not commissioned and launched until 1994, after which she's been very lightly used, but continued to be well cared for and upgraded.
