Broker's Comments

Westerlys reputation came from building solid cruising boats which appealed to their customers. The Centaur was the foundation for Westerlys success. More Centaurs were built than any other British built production cruiser. This yacht was purchased from new from the manufacturer and has been in the same family since then. Like all family members she has been loved and cared for and taken on family holidays to the Isles of Scilly and the South West Coast of Ireland. Her keels and keel bolts were removed for inspection in 1995 and resealed. The mast and rigging were replaced in 1990 and new sails fitted. The engine was given a top end overhaul, a new toilet was fitted and her head linings were replaced. In 1999 a new fuel tank was fitted which has a sump and drain off valve. There have been many alterations made to this yacht to improve her and make life easy. She is taken out of the water every year from October until April or May and fitted with a top cover to protect her. The hull could benefit from being painted but this does not detract from her sea keeping qualities and the way that this yacht has been maintained. These boat details are subject to contract.
