Broker's Comments

Boatshed Lancashire offer this very capable Alberg 37 a classic cruising yacht from the board of Carl Alberg. They are considered to be well designed, safe and capable of serious cruising. Whitby Boat Works had a reputation for building strong boats and Alberg 37s have proven themselves repeatedly. A 1977 hull, for example, was beached in a hurricane suffering only minor scratches. Paul Howard recalls a story in Canadian Yachting Magazine of a single hander’s 37 surviving three days of pounding on a reef in the South Pacific before escaping by jettisoning his supplies. He then sailed 2,000 miles before repairs.
This example has just has all of her external teak professionally restored and would benefit from a little varnish down below as a result of spending many years in the Med. She is priced for a quick sale and viewing is available at short notice as I have the keys.
