Where do I start????

The Camano 31 offers an excellent platform for a cruising couple with occasional guests. She will sleep 4 easily. The Camano is an easy boat to enjoy and maintain, with no exterior teak, quality gel coat and stainless steel. Straightforward access to all mechanical and electrical system is a design to be appreciated!

The hull design of the Camano 31 is unique and well-regarded for its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency. The deep, hollow v-shaped keel provides about 25% of the hull's displacement, and above displacement speeds helps lift the stern so that water runs cleanly off the transom, thus maintaining a more linear speed-fuel relationship up to 14 knots. An additional benefit of the Keelform hull is that the engine is mounted in the keel, lowering the center of gravity. The boat heels very little even in tight turns. The owners speak of its stable performance in difficult sea conditions and its fuel efficiency, especially at speeds from 10 - 14 knots -- that are difficult for planing or displacement hulls of this size.

Pronounced bow flair keeps the spray down and makes for a dryer boat.
Prop and rudder are protected by a skeg.
The exceptionally large window area is subdivided into enough segments that structural rigidity is maintained.
Solid, hand-laid fiberglass below the waterline, with foam coring above the waterline. The windlass and deck fixtures are backed with metal backing plates.
Extensive sound-deadening insulation is used in the cabin floor, making the boat in comparison to other boats quiet in operation.

Broker's Comments

As a design the Camano 31 provides maximum elbow room and easy movement around the boat for full size adults. No gimmicks -- just simple, straightforward and purposeful design. The result is a boat that is simple to operate and maintain and yet capable of duty as a stout little ship.

This 2001 Camano 31 is a rare find -- outfitted for cruising with a very good complement of equipment and in very nice condition.

The Camano 31 is a well-known Northwest boat and was designed for these waters -- ready to handle a wide range of conditions, sturdy, simple to operate and maintain, workboatlike in appearance, capable of comfortable long-range cruising, and with an amazingly large interior space. A study of the photos of the boat demonstrates that it would be literally impossible to design a boat with better 360-degree visibility and more light.

The flybridge is surprisingly large with room for many guests (and really, who doesn't have use for such space on a nice day?). The flybridge is positioned far forward for excellent visibility. The lower helm offers excellent all-around excellent visibility.

We hear time and again about the confidence that owners have in these boats under difficult sea conditions. There is nothing else in this class as tough or as capable as a Camano.
