Built in Holland in 1998 the quality of construction was evident with solid stanchions, thick teak deck and quality joinery inside. The vendor informs us that the superstructure is painted in twin-pack and is almost to car body standards. Last survey was in July 2022. We are told that the hull was taken back to bare metal and before launching was prepared with two coats of Ijssel IJmopox primer, three coats of Ijssel HB coating, one layer of IJssel HB coating mixed with antifouling, then four layers of antifouling. The exhaust was renewed in 2022 including a new stainless water-lock.

Accommodation

No. of double berths 2
No. of single berths 2
Cabin(s) 2
Handbasin 1
Shower 1
Heads 1 heads (Electric)

Outside aft is the deck area which is surprisingly spacious for a canoe stern kotter. Easily able to accommodate 8. The teak decking has smart corking (redone 2018) and looks to be in very good condition and the canopy is a top-quality material new in 2022. Central helm and wide side decks. Down through the companionway into the saloon which is “open plan” onto the galley and dinette forward giving it a bright and spacious feel. Almost 2m of headroom and deep windows add to the feeling of space. Solid wood joinery everywhere add to the general feeling of quality construction and the shine shows a pleasing level of care and attention. Pop up TV forward to port (no steering position so no waste of space!) Forward to starboard is the galley with gas hob, gas oven and good work top spaces. A 220v fridge completes the ensemble. To port a dinette which converts to an occasional double berth of 1.95m by 1.35m. Finally the V berth cabin houses a washing machine and V berths of 2m by 0.85m each. The Aft of the saloon to port is the heads with a 220v electric WC. To starboard a good sized shower with plenty of elbow room and 1.83m of headroom. Finally the main cabin with a very generous 2m by 1.6m double bed centrally positioned and easy to access from both sides. A nice thoughtful touch is led strip lighting under the lower lip of the bed providing a subdued glow for moving around at night without disturbing a partner. Note headroom in this aft cabin is 1.76m. Central heating is from a diesel fired 5Kw Eberspacher. Hot water from a 40 litre tank heated by 220v and engine. All saloon windows covered with reflective film which acts as both a thermal and visual barrier. C02 detector in saloon and four smoke detectors (saloon, each cabin and galley).

Broker's Comments

Dutch steel cruiser for sale in France. Boatshed Bourgogne is pleased to offer this very nicely presented 12.85m Dutch steel kotter for sale. Built in 1998 to a very high standard and a real credit to our vendors.

Just look at the photos, videos and VR. Inside and out this boat shines. Low noise levels (again check out the video) and bow and stern thrusters for getting in and out of tight spots this should be a treat for long term (or even live aboard) cruising. Moreover, our vendor reports fuel consumption of just 2.5liters an hour on canals. What is there not to like?

For more information and appointments to view, contact Graham from Boatshed Bourgogne.

NB The dinghy and its motor shown on the photographs are not included in this sale.
