Broker's Comments

The Contessa 26 is a true classic from the mid sixties, born of a collaboration between Jeremy Rogers and David Sadler. It is a GRP development of the wooden Nordic Folk Boat. Folk boats and their derivatives are unequalled in their ability to cross oceans for a craft of such diminutive proportions. Safe, sea-kindly yet easily handled they make a fine first yacht for coastal cruising and more. This example has been in the same family for two decades. She is in commission and regularly sailed. Her motor is very recent with less than fifty hours use and the bowsprit is easily removed should a new owner wish to revert to her standard rig.
