Broker's Comments

This is an exceptional Contessa 26 in many ways. She has just completed a 72 day Round Britain single-handed cruise at the hands of a young man who has set his sights on a career as a professional offshore racing yachtsman. If that was not enough he was also the first Contessa 26 in the Round the Island Race (2010), coming in 23rd overall, first in the Classic Channel Regatta (2009) and first in the 110 mile Dartmouth to Paimpol (2009). As a result the yacht is incredibly well equipped with a whole new suit of sails, new running rigging, new winches and much new navigation equipment as well. The inventory includes a locker full of spares, extras, flares, brand new life raft and much more besides – basically this yacht is fully prepared for sail. When I met the owner onboard at the Royal Dart I could not be more impressed with both the yacht and the achievements of this young man. Boatshed Dartmouth are delighted to be the sponsoring brokers of this yacht and your early viewing is recommended.
