Broker's Comments

Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 27m Dutch Barge Luxemotor for sale with a beautiful and rare London mooring on the Thames, moments from Kew Gardens. With views up and down the river, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure one of the best spots in London allied to a barge which is perfect for a family.

The barge has been recently surveyed and with four cabins offers a large amount of living space. There is a large and airy aft 'captain's cabin' off the wheelhouse with fitted twin beds, a large desk, stove and its own heads, which is currently occupied by a lodger. The main living area comprises a generous bathroom with a spacious shower and laundry, as well as an open plan galley, dining and living area with a large Charnwood multi-fuel stove with backburner, lots of light from the skylights and enough space for a dining table.

Forward there are three more cabins: a small single and then the large master cabin which has a twin room beyond it tucked into the bow: a perfect snug or kids' room, as it is currently set up.

The mooring at Kew Marine, in the south west corner of Kew Bridge is fully transferable after a successful application to the mooring owners, and the current annual fee is £17,952 per annum inclusive of service charge. The mooring has water, pump out and electric connections.

An option to take a long term lease (25 years) will soon be possible, giving greater security for the mooring and reducing the annual costs. More details can be provided.
