Broker's Comments
I have to confess I have not seen one of these close up and personal before, but you can tell she’s a Hallberg as soon as you step aboard! The finish and the build quality are exactly as you’d expect, and down below the woodwork is well up to the standard you’d expect of this top brand name. She just feels so right!
She has a nice shiny Nani diesel, fitted new in 2004, with only 231 hours showing on the meter. Have a look at the photos, the thing looks brand new! She carries a conventional furling Genoa, but is fitted with a track so you could go the self-tacking route if you choose. Her slab reefing has been updated by the present owner who has rigged it outside the boom – a brilliant idea which he tells me works very well with a much reduced risk of a jam.
Look below the waterline and there is the trademark long fin keel, encapsulated, so no bolts to worry about. She also has that nice rounded tumblehome beloved of Scandinavian builders. The present owner has moved on to a slightly larger HR – I have yet to meet an HR owner who will EVER move to a different brand.
So why not get yourself onto the Hallberg Rassy ladder and start off with this superb little ship? You can stand tall in the Club bar - when someone asks you what boat you have, you simply answer
“A Hallberg Rassy.”
