Broker's Comments

Preliminary details awaiting owner’s approval
Meeting the owner of this classic 12 ton Hillyard I was once again struck by the spacious layout of the Hillyard. This later version has the traditional transom and hard chine hull design to give extra volume for the same length. She has been ashore and recently completed some refurbishment after an owners survey in 2009. This has included new standing rigging on the main mast, new gas pipework, new water inlet valve and skin fitting and repairs to some planks on the starboard side above the waterline. The engine has been serviced in 2009. The 12 ton Hillyards are popular, comfortable cruisers and this one features the long keel with bilge plates so she can take the ground as well. The interior layout currently does not have the second heads in the aft cabin, but the plumbing is in place to restore this if required.
