This Hunter 42 is center cockpit coastal cruiser with a very comfortable layout. The cockpit is fully enclosed with canvas and isinglass connected to a sturdy, stainless steel arch carrying the main sheet traveler. This creates a standing room "pilothouse" that is removable for an open cockpit. Perfect for NW cruising. Its strategic rigging placement allows for easy line handling from the cockpit. This boat is a great compromise between sailing performance and cruising comfort.

The elegant saloon has ample seating on ultra-leather couches on both port and starboard sides. The well-appointed galley has a large two-sided sink, propane stove/oven, microwave, and ample counter space. The forward stateroom would aptly serve as a master stateroom on most boats because of its large V-berth and adjacent full head with shower. Walking aft from the salon past the navigation station to port you reach the master suite which has a centerline island queen bed with a small couch to the port. There plenty of storage and a private head with a shower/tub combo. It has been customized for optimal entertainment with a flip-down LCD Flatscreen and a custom stereo with Bose speakers, subwoofer and second stereo deck.

The owner has made several recent upgrades including new upholstery, refinishing the mast post and improvements in galley cabinets.

Broker's Comments

This popular Hunter Passage 420 is attractively priced and well-equipped. The interior is clean and in good shape. The owner has added a full cockpit enclosure for all season Northwest cruising. The 6'6" headroom and spacious layout add significantly to comfort for long trips or living aboard. It has a nice equipment list including a 2KW generator, Heart Inverter, Radar, Chartplotter, Windlass, LCD TV with DVD, and new cockpit cushions. In August 2011 it was hauled, painted and has new zincs so it is ready to go cruising immediately. This is a lot of boat for the money!
