Built between 1969 and 1976 the Hustler 30 range of yachts are classic small cruiser-racers which are both fast and seaworthy, as well as being very elegant yachts. Designed by Don Pye of Holman & Pye, the Hustler 30 is often regarded as one of the finest from his board. Build consists of a one piece single-skin hull bonded to the coachroof, cockpit and deck, which are all moulded as a unit. The deck and coachroof are strengthened with wide polyurethane foam cored stiffeners. Plywood stiffening is incorporated in the mast area, foredeck, sidedecks and winch coamings. The cast iron keel of 1460kg delivers the shallower 1.4m (4'8") draft on this 'cruising' version.

The hull was stored ashore for many years before being refurbished and re-launched in 2007. Therefore many items are thought to be of 2007 vintage.
