Back in the day, Jeremy Rogers wanted to build a boat to bridge the gap between his Contessa 26, which many found too small, and the 32 which many found too big. The Contessa 28, designed by the young Doug Peterson, was the result. She goes to windward like a Peterson design yet provides civilised comfort for family cruising.
Our example here has been modified from standard, which originally could sleep six, as her owner has lived aboard for the last seven years, but on the upside her motor has hardly done any work! She would benefit from a re-fit and her recently reduced asking price reflects this.
