This 56' Kita Pilothouse hull is built with double planked mahogany from Honduras. The teak decks were sealed in 2002. The boat was built to maximize interior space and comfort. The widebody style offers much more saloon space than the Europa version and is great for living aboard or long range cruising.

This 56' Pilothouse was redesigned for two people to live-aboard full time and enjoy all the comforts of home. From the large cockpit, you enter the saloon through two sliding doors. To starboard is a chest of drawers, a large table, and the laundry area. The laundry area features a separate washer and propane powered dryer, plus a dishwasher with a large table above it. Above the laundry table is a 26" wall-mounted flatscreen TV. Opposite the laundry area is the U-shaped galley with full-sized fridge, propane stove/oven, microwave and double sink with Instahot water. The remodeled galley (wood countertops, bamboo flooring, newer appliances) offers a large window for outside views, and is on the same level as the rest of the saloon. The 56' Pilothouse was originally a three stateroom boat, but the current owners remodeled it to a two stateroom layout. This created a very roomy master stateroom with office area and a large master head with separate shower and changing area. Forward of the master stateroom is the V-berth and a second guest head.

Broker's Comments

This boat must to seen in person to truly appreciate the amount of open and usable space throughout the boat. It was remodeled for use as a live-aboard for a couple or small family. The wooden hull is much quieter than fiberglass and insulates more efficiently - you'll stay plenty warm with the diesel Dickenson Newport stove running in the winter. This 56 Pilothouse has all the comforts of home including a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and full-sized side-by-side fridge. The master stateroom and master head are more spacious than on most boats this size because the owners converted the boat to combine two staterooms into one expansive owner's stateroom. If you are looking for bright, open interior space - look no further. The 56 Kita is powered with fuel-efficient and heavy duty MAN 440 HP Diesels for excellent range and reliability.
