Broker's Comments
Sometimes it’s easier to accept the argument in favour of cruising catamarans over their mono-hull equivalents than try and concoct a convincing counter-point. The virtues stare you in the face, from the moment you step on board (and the boat doesn’t move underfoot). Even on a boat with a modest 8m LOA: walk about the spacious cockpit; wander around the expansive (and flat) fore-deck, then venture below into an interior with more accommodation than your average flat. I really like the lay-out on this boat: there’s a good-sized saloon that turns into a huge airy double berth, and three further berths, one of which would make a further (small) double. The port hull contains the nav station, and the starboard the galley. On deck, all the sail controls for the (all-furling) cutter-rigged sail-plan lead back to the helm. All sails are crisp and new. Engine access is superb. Manoeuvrability under power is enhanced by the steerable out-drive leg that tilts up out of the water to reduce drag when under sail. This is a much loved boat, used frequently and cared-for, up for reluctant sale and in need of a good home.
