Broker's Comments
The Rampart 48 was the biggest of a long line of Gentlemen's Cruisers built at the Rampart Boat Building Co. Ltd. Southampton. We understand that they used to build one boat per year, with each example being fitted out to a buyers exact specification. We believe that this example was the last one to be built.
Well known and loved, they have a good following. There is an active Rampart owners club that arranges annual gatherings of boats & their owners, as well as providing a very interesting information archive and a quarterly magazine.
Presently used as a live aboard in the Plymouth area, this example is spacious, comfortable, well laid out and provides a lovely home environment. There is a dual heating system fitted, consisting of a diesel hot blown air system and a log burner located in the saloon.
The large master aft cabin has an ensuite toilet and handbasin and there is an additional twin cabin with two generous sized berths. The forward cabin is currently used as a utility room by the present owners and there’s a well equipped galley and comfortable saloon. There are two heads, a shower, a holding tank and a macerator fitted. Head room is good throughout.
The current mooring is available to rent and a survey can be easily arranged at the current location.
A great opportunity to acquire a spacious live aboard in a tranquil, picturesque part of Cornwall.
