Broker's Comments
A rugged and well respected cruiser/racer, this Salona 37 - 3 cabin version - is a fine example of a boat which has had excellent reviews from numerous experts world-wide. It was European Boat of The Year in 2007, Croatian Boat of The Year in 2006 and Sailing World's US Boat of The Year in 2007 - all really solid achievements for a lesser known make of boat. The Salona 37 also seems to give you a lot more for your money than similar boats from better known manufacturers.
The Salona 37 is light and responsive and the construction uses an innovative steel grid - giving optimal stiffness and safety and better distributing the stresses for the keel and rigging. It also has an innovatively designed, moulded in non-slip deck, which it is said gets better with age! There is also easy access to the steering system via a large hatch behind the helm.
Below deck is Webasto heating, 3 spacious double cabins and, more unusually, plenty of storage space in the cabins and the saloon. It also has a good sized nav station and plenty of space in the cockpit. This boat also seems to have had less use than expected for a 2005 model, judging from the very good condition of the upholstery, etc. You might want to bring along a detachable bow-sprit to complete the package, but otherwise this boat has everything you are likely to need - from electrical sockets in the cabins for hairdryers to a well laid out L-shape galley with equipment for 8! Included in the sale is also a fabulous sail wardrobe which adds further value.
This Salona 37 is in very good condition and comes with Germanischer Lloyd certification. I think it is a great boat - great build quality, great performance and great levels of comfort. A really fine example of the much acclaimed Salona 37 - a top cruiser/racer designed by J & J and built by A.D. Boats in Croatia.
