Another stunning day here in the Algarve was eclipsed when I saw the victory 40 Trintella IV class, designed by Van de Stadt for Tyler boats.
They were bulit by Aberdour Marine, two were ordered by John Tyler in 1973/4, one for his own personal use and this Y for a close friend.
This yacht like the other sailed the Mediterranean for many years, proving to be an ideal live-aboard or offshore cruiser.
These were the hey days of custom built yachts, this example kept alive by a 2002 re-fit by the current owners partner, who has used his expertise in classic car restoration, which shows with the work he has achieved on this Classic Yacht.
In true Victory style this 40 has had lots of history and experience of long distance cruising. Crossing the Atlantic, cruising the West Indies and entering the Panama Canal and eventually down to the Great Barrier Reef.
This circumnavigation proved no problem for this wonderful sea boat.
The vessel is part 1 registered in Britain and was built to Lloyds A1 standard.
