evidence of sea-water seepage around her keel bolts in her starboard bilge. Ideally the keels should be re-bedded and the bolts tightened. The seepage appears to be slight and a temporary fix might be achieved with sealant and tightening alone.

Broker's Comments

A 'B' Model Centaur, the most popular of these deservedly popular yachts which were once the most popular British built family cruiser - even classed as offshore capable - and several have made ocean passages. Times have changed but these yachts remain the same capable craft that ever they were, if a little elderly now. Money has clearly been spent on her in the recent past with a new and well installed motor, mainsail, gas locker (to meet modern requirements) and other bits and pieces. However, she does suffer from 'Westerly Droop' in the headlining department and there appears to be evidence of sea-water seepage around her keel bolts in her starboard bilge. This is not uncommon on a boat of this age and we consider it a very minor fault which could be sealed by DIY efforts or a keel re-bed. This work is relative to her asking price.
