Explorer and adventure yacht builder Arksen has appointed Yeoward Boatyards as its dealer for the South West region of England. Yeoward becomes the first dealer of the boatbuilder’s Discovery Series.

The news comes in the same week that Arksen launched its first public investment round. The UK firm is raising £6m Series A capital from institutional and retail investors.

Arksen is currently developing a network of dealerships worldwide, including the UK and US. The firm says it aims to partner with 80 new dealers over the next few years.

Salcombe-based Yeowards is a full-service specialist marine centre on the UK’s rugged South West coast. It will deal boats from the Discovery Series, which comprises five open adventure RIBs ranging from 6 metres to 12 metres.

“Our partnership with Yeoward Boatyards marks a significant milestone in expanding access to the Arksen Discovery Series, offering adventurers in Salcombe and the South West the opportunity to embark on extraordinary journeys with our class-leading range of open adventure boats,” says Nick Bailey, Discovery Series manager. “Together, we look forward to empowering more owners to explore the stunning coastlines of South Devon and beyond.”

With multiple boats being built, Arksen says Yeowards will receive its first Discovery 8 in time for the summer season.

“Arksen is about enabling people to take the next step towards their greatest adventure and introducing our first dealer for the Discovery Series is a testament to our growth and success,” says Jasper Smith, Arksen CEO and founder.

Chris Embleton, sales manager at Yeowards adds: “We are delighted to welcome Arksen’s Discovery range to our established portfolio of new boat brands we offer. Arksen’s products align perfectly with our commitment to sourcing the highest quality, innovative boats for our clients wishing to explore the South West’s beautiful coastline.

“We look forward to welcoming new and experienced boat owners to experience the brand from our Salcombe base.”
