ATPI Sports Events is returning as the official travel supplier of the upcoming edition of the Clipper Race. This will be the corporate travel company’s second edition of partnership with the global yacht racing event.

Part of the ATPI Group, ATPI Sports Events says it has a reputation for providing high-quality bespoke travel and events solutions to organisations operating in a variety of specialist sectors around the world. The company’s previously worked with major sports events such as the Olympic and Winter Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup.

One of the most challenging endurance events on the planet, the Clipper Race sees 700+ crew race over 40,000 nautical miles around the world, travelling across six continents over a span of eleven months.

ATPI will be setting up Clipper Race crew and their supporters with a travel desk to try and ensure they have a seamless travel experience, from booking flights to arranging on-shore accommodation. With Clipper Race crew hailing from nearly 70 different nations, ATPI says it will provide assistance in helping crew travel from all around the globe.

“On a global yacht race, Clipper Race crew, supporters and the race office require complete flexibility in booking travel,” says Matt Petit, operations and logistics manager at the Clipper Race. “This is due to the unpredictable nature of ocean racing and the time frames when we arrive at destinations around the world.

“The team at ATPI are extremely professional and efficient and we are looking forward to working with them again.”

Race organisers announced the 11 skippers set to lead their teams earlier this year.
