Boatshed.com, the world’s number one yacht brokerage platform specialising in the sale of used boats, has unveiled ambitious plans for expansion.

Founder Neil Chapman announced today at the PSP Southampton Boat Show how the company plans to revolutionise the marine industry’s approach to selling boats and widen its reach further across the world with an industry first initiative.

For the first time the technology, data and top secret business model that powers the Boatshed.com online platform is available for use by established marine businesses, either under the Boatshed.com brand or as an own label solution.

Over 450,000 registered customers have used Boatshed.com to buy over £28million of used boats this year, making the website the most popular in the industry. With customers signing up every day from all over the world there are huge opportunities for new partners to join the established organisation.

Neil said: “When we first launched the business we caused a stir amongst yacht brokers and the marine industry. We were new to the market offering a totally new approach to yacht sales that many felt encroached on their businesses. And it did. We have had huge success.

“Our new way of working proved that even a newcomer to yacht sales could outsell traditional yacht brokers by using the Boatshed.com platform. We now have over 50 offices around the world doing just that, 24/7.

“We are now offering the right marine businesses the chance to join with us and profit from the system. Combining their expertise with our tried and tested platform will generate great income for us both, can add £100,000 to their turnover per year and 2,500 additional used boats to offer their customers at no additional cost.

“Boatshed.com is easy to integrate with an existing business. We give full support and training and set-up only takes around a week. Any organisation looking to grow should talk to us today.”

Trevor King, co-owner of Rinker New Boat Sales, took part in a trial of brokers using the Boatshed.com system ahead of its launch. He said: “It has given our brokerage and used boats a large European and international platform to work with. Being traditional brokers it is important to us that we stay with the personal approach, which is one of the biggest reasons we teamed up with Boatshed.com rather than anyone else.

“Financial forecasts are looking incredibly healthy and we are pleased to report that we will be sticking with Boatshed.com long into the future.”

Boatshed.com currently has over 50 offices worldwide, each one owned and operated on a licence basis by people passionate about boats.

With over 450,000 registered users searching thousands of quality power and sailing boats, the website has become the first place people search when looking to make a new purchase or sell their existing boat.
