Universal Yachting, Dufour Yacht’s South Coast dealer, will be exhibiting five models at Southampton Boat Show: the Dufour 360, 390, 430, 470 and the 56 performance cruising monohull yachts.

All Dufour yachts are designed for easy handling, blending good upwind and downwind performance with stability and a comfortable ride afloat. Systems are easily controlled for short-handed cruising, simple even on the largest boats. By incorporating the latest hull designs, Dufour’s experienced design team have been able to create spacious cockpits and generous living areas on board. This approach makes the Dufour as ideal for newcomers to cruising as well as cruising sailors wanting to move up to a luxurious and sophisticated cruising yacht.

Launched in early 2021, the Dufour 470 will be making its debut at the Southampton Boat Show. The 14.85m Dufour 470 is a contemporary yacht that maintains the iconic elegance, features, performance and DNA you find with all the Dufour range.  Designed for easy handling and comfortable living, ideal for extended family cruising or chartering with a choice of between 3 to 5 cabins. The new reverse-chamfer curve on the topsides, large window recesses and increased forward hull volumes all contribute to impressive amounts of space and bright natural light below decks. The wide hull shape and striking lines maintain the Dufour’s characteristic excellent handling and performance. The Dufour 470 is available in three models – Easy, Ocean and Performance.

The Dufour 56 (17.15m LOA) is even more spacious and offers ultimate levels of luxury and comfort throughout.  With three different cabin layouts there’s also the option to add a crew cabin in the forepeak and pullman cabin in the saloon, the 56 can accommodate between 7 and 11 berths, to let you set up the interior exactly how you want.

The Dufour 430, (LOA 13.24m) launched in 2019 packs in many of the features of its larger sisters, with three or four proper sized cabins, two shower heads and an open forward galley – which is exceptional for a 43’ yacht. The 430 introduced a softened and raised bilge strake together with more pronounced chines for additional sailing performance and stability. The deck design includes an increased coach roof height creating more interior space and room on deck, whilst keeping the customary wide Dufour side decks for free and easy movement under sail. The wide coach roof also enables a full width mainsheet traveller to be fitted, and a full deck cover sits over the halyards, giving a clean and flush layout.

The Dufour 390, LOA 11.93, also launched in 2019, is a versatile addition to the Dufour range, and is popular with families wanting to cruise with friends and for chartering. There are three choices of interior layout, including a traditional L-shaped galley, table with seating on both sides, and either two or three cabins with two showers/heads. Alternatively, the third option is for an American-style long galley with three cabins and three shower/heads, often a popular choice for charter work.

Dufour 360, LOA 10.73m launched in 2018 with extended hull chines for added stability and reduced heeling motion for a comfortable sailing experience.  Her wide transom creates surprisingly spacious living areas both in the cockpit and below decks for a 35’ yacht. The 360 has the option for two or three cabins and concealed under the rear cockpit seats is Dufour’s now trademark external galley, BBQ and sink can be fitted as an option for alfresco living. Accessed from the wide bathing platform it is extends the space on board, and is ideal for entertaining guests and catering on deck, with no one feeling they are ‘stuck below’ cooking and missing the fun.  The generous bathing platform also doubles as a landing platform for a tender.
