Inaugural RS21 World Championship opens entry

The International RS21 Class Association, in collaboration with RS Sailing and the JK BRIVA Sailing Club, has announced that entry for the inaugural RS21 World Championship is open.

Following on from the successful European Championships in Malcesine, Lake Garda in 2021, the International RS21 Class expect around 40-50 RS21’s to compete to become the first RS21 World Champion. Entries are expected from Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, as well as the home nation, Croatia.

The event will be taking place in Biograd Na Moru on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast from 3 – 6 November. JK BRIVA Sailing Club has hosted many world class international competitions over the years.

“Since the launch of the boat, I’ve done quite a bit of RS21 racing myself and I love sailing it,” says Michiel Geerling, commercial director of RS Sailing. “The concept of the class is so strong, which has developed a couple of really good international fleets. Racing against the best, although more challenging is always more fun, and there will definitely be some good competition there. This inaugural RS21 World Championships will set the standard for many more to come, at stunning locations, with great racing and good friends.”

Entry to the event is €950, charter boats are available for €3,000 for those wishing to attend without transporting their boats. There are special offers available for those who book early.
