Cowes Harbour is now recruiting for two non-executive Commissioners to join the Board, offering a great opportunity for interested local individuals to make a tangible and valuable contribution to the work of the harbour.

We are committed to increasing diversity and are actively encouraging applications from a broad section of the local community and from all those with a keen and genuine interest in public service.

Candidates with the following skills and experience are sought (general business skills, finance/accounting, HR, and harbour development), but this list is by no means prescriptive and we would like to hear from anyone with enthusiasm, commitment and local knowledge, who is keen to become a representative for our stakeholders on a professional board.

At present, Commissioners are expected to attend 10 Board meetings a year, held on a Friday morning, however, meeting times are currently being reviewed, to encourage and enable a wider and more diverse range of candidates to apply to become a Commissioner. Commissioners also attend the Annual Public Meeting, as well as two informal dinner meetings a year.

For further information, please contact Stuart McIntosh, Harbour Master / Chief Executive on 01983 293952, by email: chc@cowes.co.uk or see the website:

Applications close at 1200 noon on Monday, 25th February 2019.
