MarineMax makes two key appointments

Recreational boat and yacht retailer MarineMax has appointed Shawn Berg and Kyle Langbehn as executive officers, effective October 1, 2022, as the company continues to execute its strategic growth plan.

Berg has served as chief digital officer of MarineMax since April 2019, responsible for the company’s technology, marketing, and digital business operations, while Langbehn has most recently served as president of retail operations of MarineMax since July 2020.

MarineMax has ramped up its growth plans and this month (October 2022) confirmed it is paying US$480 million in cash for the global marina group IGY Marinas.

Berg [pictured left] previously served as vice president of technology after joining MarineMax in 2017. Berg has over 30 years of experience, including multiple officer-level positions, delivering strategic business growth to companies across the marine, auto, and retail industries. In addition, Berg has extensive experience in finance, insurance, distribution, servicing, and supply chain operations.

Previously Langbehn served as vice president of operations from October 2018. Since joining MarineMax in 2002, Langbehn has held positions including general sales manager, general manager, and regional president.
