The second Women in the Marine Industry International event at METSTRADE 2023 — supported by Marine Industry News — is approaching capacity, with potential attendees urged to register their interest in the free session as soon as possible.

Building on the achievements of last year’s inaugural edition, British Marine, METSTRADE, Marine Industry News and Soundings Trade Only are excited to present the 2023 Women in the Marine Industry International event.

The event takes place on Thursday 16 November, from 8:30am to 10:30am at the METSTRADE theatre, at the 35th anniversary METSTRADE show at the RAI in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

“At METSTRADE last year, we pioneered an event focusing on women working in the marine industry. All the host partners recognized the importance of building a supportive community and providing education to empower women,” says Michele J. Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group, who moderated the panel.

“We firmly believe that diversity fuels innovation. The remarkable panellists candidly shared their successes, challenges, and valuable advice with the attendees. What truly underscored the event’s impact was the thoughtful questions, comments and discussion that followed the panel, leaving a lasting impression on our audience.”

Goldsmith adds: “This November, we are eagerly anticipating the next edition, which will feature outstanding panelists, and we encourage individuals of all genders to join us to learn from these dynamic and insightful leaders.

The event will include a continental breakfast and networking opportunities, starting at 8:30am and concluding at 10:30am. Doors open at 8:15am for registered attendees with a METSTRADE badge, and access should be made through entrance C.

The event is open to all METSTRADE attendees and exhibitors. To register, please send an email enquiry.

Women in the Marine Industry International is a free event, and all genders are welcome to attend.
