Multi-million dollar Palm Beach superyacht marina opens 1 November

The multimillion-dollar renovation of the Town of Palm Beach Marina is scheduled for completion, with plans to reopen on November 1, 2021.

According to the developers, the $40 million in upgrades will transform the classic docks into a world-class yacht centre that will welcome vessels from 60ft to 294ft.

The new Town Marina will provide patrons with 84 slips, located along the classic Australian, Brazilian, and Peruvian docks, while introducing a new 250ft Royal Palm Dock. As part of the town marina renovation project, three stationary docks have been replaced with floating docks, and a fourth dock will be added at the north end of the marina. Construction commenced in May 2020.

As the only public marina on the island of Palm Beach, the site has been providing berthing for power and sail yachts since the 1940s. Improvements also include installation of high-speed WiFi, enhanced shore power, and state-of-the-art security systems.

“The Town of Palm Beach Marina is proud to reintroduce a new state-of-the-art landmark facility which will further elevate the classic Palm Beach lifestyle,” says Mike Horn, the marina dockmaster. “The impressive enhancements and upgraded world-class amenities will provide patrons with a best-in-class experience.”

“The modernisation of the Palm Beach Marina will work in harmony with the Town’s ethos, style, and quality of life,” says Carolyn Stone, Palm Beach assistant town manager.
