New Furyan Eco Hybrid Marine Coupe

Furyan Marine Technology has revealed its new F35 Eco Hybrid Marine Coupe.

Said to feature the same eco-friendly credentials as the F35 Eco Hybrid Open Sports Cruiser, the new model comes with the same technology and is designed to meet CE Category B.

Offering a spacious cockpit, with an opening sunroof and space for entertaining, the company says the F35 Coupe has been designed for “a lifestyle with a clear conscience” and is comfortable for an overnight stay in any weather.

Below deck, there is V shaped double sofa bed with stowage lockers underneath and a head, featuring a full standing-height shower and electric silent-flush freshwater toilet.

According to Furyan, there are four main areas where its F35 Eco Hybrid technology makes it more environmentally alternative when compared to other boats:

  • The material used in the hull has 77 per cent lower CO2 compared with glass fibre, 90 percent cleaner than aluminium and 97 per cent lower CO2 than carbon fibre. The production process uses 85 percent less water and 70 per cent less energy than carbon fibre.
  • The design of the hull has 28 per cent less drag making it more efficient. Furyan says it has used world leading consultants in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), hydrodynamic consultants and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimise the design of the hull.
  • The cascade propulsion system improves operating efficiency, with the motors run as separate motors or linked as the power is required to match the propeller load curve to the linear power line of the electric motor. The motor link is through a seamless dog-clutch engagement system, so each motor runs at maximum efficiency.
  • The electronic control and display system, with intelligent software and touch screen, minimises waste by matching the power output to that required, minimising propeller slippage which can account for up to a 30 per cent loss of energy.

The F35 Eco Hybrid Marine Coupe is now available to order.
