Day 2 of the boat show seemed a success all around. It seems that the nice weather is bringing everyone out to the Newport International Boat Show yet again. In between breaths we scanned our neighbors booths and found they were all equally as busy as we were.

Rob took some time to go out and chat with other exhibitors and see what was new on the market. One of our favorite new toys is a monitoring and tracking device that will send a message to your cell phone if there is an issue while you are away from your boat such as dead battery or water in the bilge. It also tracks your boats position via Google Maps. Very Cool! Keep an eye out for more on Siren Marine, as we will be blogging about them again very soon! If you want more information about what they do go to http://sirenmarine.com/ to read more about their amazing product or stop by Tent C Booth 27 to meet them in person!

We also got a chance to see that new San Juan 40 with the IPS Drive that we were telling you about yesterday. Gorgeous! The cockpit is laid out beautifully with some nice changes to the console, table and bar sink. The Companion way also has a nice new design that makes it seem so much more spacious. Down below the galley and forward berth have been opened up and look very roomy and more user friendly. Stop by their Bannister’s Wharf display to see her in person.

In addition to our new friends Rob was able to catch up with some old friends yesterday as well. He ran into his friend Todd who works with Doyle Sails and is here at the show at the Newport Yachting Center A Lot land display. Funny enough a friend that raced with Todd & Rob was a spectator today at the show and was able to visit us for Fizz @ 5 and regale us with war stories of racing in St. Maarten Heineken regatta.

All in all day 2 of the Newport International Boat Show was a great success for a lot of people and we are really looking forward to today. Don’t forget to stop by for Fizz @ 5 in our booth (Tent C Booth 33). Also if you haven’t already registered on our site it’s free and easy!
