Swedish boatbuilder Nimbus Group has acquired the dealership rights for boats under the Nimbus and Paragon brands from Gressvik Marina in Østfold, Norway.

Nimbus says the acquisition enables the group to ‘broaden its offering of the group’s various brands’ and ‘strengthen its position’ in the Norwegian market.

Gressvik Marina was established in 1972, and has been a successful Nimbus dealer since 1986. As of 1 September 2023, Gressvik Marina will operate under the management of the Norwegian powerboat dealer Herholdt Andersen, which Nimbus Group acquired in 2022.

“If we are to continue growing, we need to establish a market presence in the most attractive markets and in the most attractive boat districts,” says Jan-Erik Lindström, CEO of Nimbus Group. “Through last year’s acquisition of Herholdt Andersen, we strengthened our position in the important district around Oslofjorden and Vestfold, and this acquisition provides us with a stronger position in Østfold.”
