The British Marine Trades Association (BMTA) Awards dinner returns this summer, and the nominations for the 2023 award are now open.

This year’s BMTA Awards dinner, sponsored by Barton Marine, Barrus, ASAP Supplies, Deep Blue Systems, Marine Resources and A-Plan Insurance, is being held the night before Seawork on Monday 12 June 2023 at the Grand Café in Southampton.

Nominations are now open for the following awards:

  • Business of the Year award
  • David Coleman Award for Excellence in Exporting
  • Personality of the Year

In 2022, MIN’s publisher Mike Shepherd was left ‘speechless’ after being awarded Personality of the Year at the BMTA Awards, for his passion for creating opportunities for businesses, and his continued support of the industry at every level.

British Marine Trades Association was started over 50 years ago specifically to represent the national interest of chandlers, wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers of marine equipment. The association represents some 300 firms and has a management committee, made up of a dozen annually elected volunteers.

The popular annual awards are an excellent opportunity to recognise colleagues, clients, and fellow marine industry businesses. BMTA says all nominations, including self-nominating, are welcome.

There is a short online form to nominate for each of the 2023 awards.
