Raymarine and Azimut are celebrating a three decade relationship which both companies say has been successful due to having high product quality and technological innovation as core values.

“Over the last decades we have grown well beyond a standard client-supplier relationship,” says Carlo Baj, country manager of Raymarine Italy. “Today, what makes our collaboration remarkable, is our mutual ability to share and receive valuable trusted feedback. This helps us improve and create unique, innovative, and high-quality products, which ultimately prove their worth in the market.”

Working closely together has enabled Raymarine to develop new products and features suggested by both Azimut owners and technicians. This has proved critical for Raymarine’s software development and improvement.

“All successful partnerships are a two-way street,” says Baj. “As we look back on the last three decades of Raymarine’s collaborative relationship with Azimut, and forward to the next three decades, it’s notable that both companies have learned a great deal from one another. The ultimate and greatest beneficiary of this healthy partnership is, of course, the boat owner. They get better boats with better equipment that they can enjoy with lower stress levels and greater safety than ever before.”

According to Alessandro Rossi, chief technical officer Azimut|Benetti Group, Raymarine demonstrated its true value early on in the relationship and has been delivering on this consistently since.

“We chose Raymarine as our marine electronics supplier not just for the leading functionality and usability of Raymarine equipment. It is due to Raymarine’s strong post sales customer service. Azimut yachts are sold all over the world and the owners cruise their boats extensively. Thanks to its extensive network, Raymarine has a strong track record of looking after customers and this is a key benefit. Our technicians also report that Raymarine equipment is designed with consideration to ease of fitting and setup.”

Over the years, the relationship between Azimut and Raymarine has deepened to encompass not just technical development but collaborative marketing activities. Those include training webinars for dealers and owners, events, press activation and marketing newsletters.

Azimut has repeatedly been an early adopter of newly launched Raymarine technology. It was one of the first boatbuilders to fit Raymarine’s Cyclone radar and has championed the YachtSense Ecosystem. (The latter enables complete onboard and offboard integration with all devices connected to the boats network.)

Azimut recently announced its expanding its service offerings with a new Charter Club, offering charter experiences aboard the brand’s fleet of yachts, with a team dedicated to supporting owners. This is part of its development strategy for its service hub.
