Come and discover St Katharine Docks at water level. Whether you own a boat or not, the Marina Day at St. Katharine Docks provides the perfect opportunity to find out the benefits of boating and explore everything that the picturesque London marina has to offer.

First introduced in 2015, Marina Day returns on 10 June and, without exception, this year’s bigger and better event aims to promote and showcase the facilities and activities on site, as well as hosting several local services and marine companies. This year visitors will be able try out the latest on-the-water craze, stand up paddleboarding, test their knots and rope skills and meet with some of the special services operating on the River Thames.

Open to the public and visiting boat crews alike, the marina team will welcome visitors to the St. Katharine Docks covered event pontoon, located in the Centre Basin, for a day’s worth of activities. Admission to all activities is free of charge. Open 10:30-1600hrs, visitors can also participate in marine related activities, including:

  • A virtual reality sailing experience
  • Meet the RNLI and crew members from the London Tower Pier lifeboat station
  • Meet the officers from the MET Marine Policing and Dive Unit based at nearby Wapping and get up close to its high-tech Targa patrol boat exclusively berthed alongside
  • Knot and rope-throwing workshop
  • Stand up paddleboarding taster sessions with Paddleboarding London
  • Art and crafts area where you create your sailing boat and motorboat to race

Other stall holders expected to showcase at the event will be boat valeting company TFWV Marine Limited, writer and photographer Niki Gorick, Volvo Penta specialists and marine engineers Volspec, rope specialists Rota Marine and CPB Marine Engineering.
