Sunreef Yachts has entered a partnership with Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) manufacturer Ribco in the Middle East.

The team at Sunreef Yachts’ new Dubai office will now act as Ribco’s exclusive distributor in the region. Sunreef Yachts says its Ras Al Khaimah shipyard in the United Arab Emirates will also support Ribco in the construction of selected models.

Established in 1994, Athens-based Ribco offers a range of models from 30ft to 44ft, including the Venom 44.

Sunreef says it has collaborated with Ribco as the two companies share a “common passion for quality, R&D and design.”

Sunreef Yachts has two existing catamaran construction sites in Poland. In 2022, the firm confirmed its plans to expand its industrial capacity with a new, state-of-the art facility in the UAE.

Currently in development, the new €30m production site is on a 65,000m2 land reserve, on which the construction of the first 13,000m2 building has recently begun.

The site will begin production in September 2023, employing initially around 50 people, and will be dedicated to the construction of luxury, custom-made catamarans. Within three years, the site should employ up to 800 people, the company says.
