Sunseeker unveils new 65 Sport Yacht

Sunseeker has unveiled its new 65 Sport Yacht.

The new yacht, which will be shown at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival and Southampton International Boat Show, features Volvo Penta IPS-1200 or IPS-1350 engines which Sunseeker says will provide manoeuvrability, efficiency and dynamic performance, and offer speeds of up to 35 knots.

Her exterior profile, with a minimalist bridge deck, has been enhanced by the addition of hull glazing, increasing natural light into the lower deck spaces, and is a blend of tinted glazing, teak, carbon fibre and polished stainless steel.

According to Sunseeker, central to this new yacht’s appeal, is that owners are able to specify a ‘SkyHelm™’, featuring twin bolstered seats set low on either side of a central console, with glass bridge plotter instrumentation complete with retro chrome dials housing LED displays.

A fully-carbon steering arm can be raised to ease ingress into this racing-cockpit design, or locked in a raised position for helming while standing. Both helm seats can pivot aft for socialising, while the windscreen can also tilt up and down depending on the driver’s preference.
