Fancy going sailing with your workmates? This summer, sailing is part of the national Workplace Challenge which aims to promote sport, physical activity and healthy living across the UK’s workplaces.

For the sailing challenge, you can sign up for a six week evening ‘learn to sail’ course with your colleagues at a participating local sailing venue and then put your new skills to the test in the Workplace Sailing Challenge Regatta where teams will battle it out to be crowned the Champion Workplace.

“We’re really excited about being part of the Workplace Challenge this summer. By connecting with companies across the UK we hope to show people how easy and fun it is to go sailing and windsurfing locally after a busy day at work” explains RYA Regional Development Officer Robbie Bell.

“The sessions will be run at RYA Training Centres, we’re looking for teams of three colleagues to enter and learn the basics of sailing in just six weeks. Workplace teams will then have the chance to take on other companies to compete for the title of ‘Workplace Sailing Challenge Champions”.

The Workplace Sailing Challenge starts from 4 June and costs just £99 to take part. More information about the programme and how to take part can be found at www.rya.org.uk/wpsc
