Sun, sea and fast boats …. what’s not to like? Team Endeavour Racing is open to Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) serving military personnel and veterans. It provides a foundation as a transition service supporting and empowering team members into future employment, training or education, utilising peer mentoring and providing support and assistance through the exhilarating sport of Thundercat racing.

The team currently operates out of Southwick, Portsmouth, but welcomes members from all over the UK. Having started up in 2015, the team has had success in previous UKOPRA (UK Offshore Powerboat Racing Association) powerboat racing seasons, with the team of Justin Boyle and Johnny Slater making the podium in the Thundercat category, and amputees David Gardiner (70) and Mark Sidwell winning the Triumph over Adversity Trophy after setting the world record as the first and fastest amputee team to complete the UKOPRA Round the Island race in a boat adapted for amputees.

This season Team Endeavour Racing have taken a step back from racing to concentrate on growing the team and welcoming more runners and riders to the team, before seeing through a longer term plan to run events and enter teams into racing and endurance events in the future.

Team Endeavour Racing is currently recruiting to the team and welcomes any serving or veteran military who would like to try out the sport. No prior experience is necessary. Contact can be made through the Facebook page or website.
