Authentic ship smell ?

This week I decided to make a visit to to the chandlery at Riverside Boatyard on the Hamble river in the UK.
If you haven't been then you are in for a real treat!
Based on on a WWII vintage concrete barge it is totally unique and sells new, secondhand and redundant chandlery.
If like me you like boat jumbles, then a visit to this place is a must.
Great for new chandlery items, used parts or classic parts, I spotted 2 old big 3 speed winches that would fit our old Rebel ketch perfectly for example.
It looks like the barge has many items that would be of interest by interior designers and filmmakers, so even a wander about is an experience not to be missed.
Lots of stuff is available via their online portal but if like me you enjoy the smell of machine grease, oils and old rope then a physical visit is the best way to enjoy this gem :)

You can find the barge at the also very authentic Riverside Boatyard at the top of the Hamble.
